  PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Clark is a senior engineer with over 32 years of highly successful project experience on planning, engineering design and construction projects in the civil-public works and industrial sectors. Mr. Clark has been involved in solid waste management programs for the past 23 years and has managed projects in every major facet of solid waste management. He has been studying and providing assessments of emerging waste conversion technologies for the past 14 years and has completed 20 in the past 5 years. He is adept at effective presentations to lay persons including citizen’s groups, municipal representatives and non waste-related public works personnel. Some recent projects include:
  • Bio-Chemical Waste to Fuel – Technical Advisor on engineering opinion report to USDA on operating 35 ton per day pilot plant converting food waste to gasoline.
  • Thermal Waste to Fuel – Technical Advisor on technical review of 40 Ton per day pilot plant for expansion that converts wastes including biosolids, municipal waste, agricultural residue to diesel.
  • Autoclave Process – Technical Advisor on a technical/economic feasibility study of a plant that takes biomass and MSW and provides conditioned feedstock for RDF and fuel production and combined heat & power (CHP).
  • Thermal Waste to Fuel – Managing a study of alternative thermal waste conversions (pyrolysis, gasification, plasma) that can provide steam and vehicle fuel for a manufacturing plant/military base.
  • Microwave Gasification Process – Managed a technical/economic feasibility study of a plant that takes biomass and MSW and provides conditioned feedstock for diesel fuel/power production.
  • Plasma Gasification Process – Managed a technical/economic feasibility study of a plant that takes biomass and MSW and provides conditioned feedstock for fuel production and power.
  • Alternative Waste Conversion Technologies – Technical Advisor on three Solid Waste Master Plans that included detailed feasibility review of thermal, biological, and bio-chemical technologies to serve large metropolitan areas.
  • Alternative Energy Study: Managed a technical and economic study of alternative fuels, including biomass, RDF and biosolids, for use in cement plant kilns.
  • Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Fuel Fleet Study – Managed a feasibility study to assess the potential for converting diesel truck fleets to liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling technology.
  • Fleet Emission Reduction Study – Technical Advisor to determine the cost savings and C02 reduction by fueling collection vehicle fleet with LNG.
